About Julius Cedar
Julius Cedar is Saskatchewan's source for premium Western Red Cedar, lumber, and building supplies. Quality materials, honest advice, and a commitment to every customer.
WHO WE ARE
Julius Cedar supplies quality cedar, lumber, and building supplies to customers across Saskatchewan. Western Red Cedar remains one of our specialties, but our product selection has continued to grow alongside the needs of homeowners, contractors, builders, and DIY customers.
Today, our focus goes beyond cedar. Along with premium Western Red Cedar, we carry fir, pine, pressure-treated lumber, building supplies, hardware, wood stains, specialty products, and a growing selection of materials for DIY and craft projects. Through it all, our approach stays the same: quality products, practical advice, and straightforward service.
ROOTED IN SASKATCHEWAN
Julius Cedar has been part of Saskatchewan’s building-supply industry since 1982 and is now under new ownership.
Today, our focus is on premium materials, knowledgeable product guidance, and dependable service. Western Red Cedar remains a core specialty as we continue to grow our selection of lumber, building supplies, and materials for DIY and craft projects.
OUR APPROACH TO QUALITY
Quality Materials
We focus on quality cedar, lumber, building supplies, and specialty products selected for dependable results.
Organized Stock
Our yard is organized so you can see and select the material you need.
Stand Behind It
We stand behind every product that leaves our yard. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
WHY PREMIUM PRODUCTS MATTER
Western Red Cedar endures because nothing man-made can match its combination of natural beauty, dimensional stability, and rot resistance. It's a material that performs in Saskatchewan's climate — through freeze-thaw cycles, humidity, and sun exposure.
Premium-grade cedar means fewer knots, straighter grain, and better dimensional stability. It machines cleaner, holds finish longer, and stands up to weather better than lower grades. That's why we stock it.
DRIVE-IN LOADING EXPERIENCE
When you visit our Saskatoon yard, you'll find organized stock, a covered drive-in loading bay, and a team that knows cedar, lumber, and building supplies inside and out.
No wandering through lumber aisles. Pull into our loading bay and our team loads your order for you. We'll load your truck, answer your questions, and make sure you leave with exactly what your project needs.
